In the project SmartBed Blekinge, we investigate the preconditions for creating a test bed for energy storage in Blekinge. We work in the project together with a number of partners: EON Elnät, Affärsverken, Karlshamn Energi, Blekinge Institute of Technology, Energiforsk, PowerCircle, Solar Supply, Blekinge Wind Power Association and NODA Intelligent Systems, each of them representing different parts of the energy production value chain and having different test bed requirements. The project is ongoing from 1 August 2017 until 15 June 2018.
After interviewing all project partners and a number of other organizations, doing business intelligence on what others are talking about, we have now came to the point where it is time to concretise the test bed. During one day’s workshop on March 26, guided by Sarah-Maya Jackson from MOVE, we worked systematically to discuss a test bed that everyone can stand behind. The process of kneading a concrete proposal was very interesting to follow and at the same time we were able to achieve a result, we also learned to know each other much better than before. We are looking forward to presenting the results of the preliminary study project and submitting a continued project application to project and realize the test bed.
