Last week gathered NetPort Energy Cluster around 30 participants during a lunch lecture wished take the opportunity to learn more about smart energy, solar energy and project IEM (Intelligent Energy Management). We got to listen to two speakers, Jan Kristoffersson from Sustainable Innovation in Stockholm and Joakim Granberg from the member company Solar Supply.
According to Jan Kristoffersson we should in more weather-sensitive power generation to balance the variations in production and utilizing the capacity in a much greater extent through the usage of energy storage and control systems.
” We are seeing the growth of an energy system that is increasingly based on local renewable sources. Local energy storage is becoming increasingly common in the context of local production. Such energy systems will need new solutions to optimize energy flows between the production, usage and storage, both from the users’ local needs and in interaction outside world. ” Jan said in his presentation.
Joakim Granberg, CTO of Solar Supply, which is one of the leading solar providers in Sweden. Joakim compared the production of solar energy between Sweden, Denmark and Germany, the difference in the markets and incentives between countries. Solar Supply also supplies batteries for energy storage and Joakim showed three different types of battery solutions with systems. Joakim concluded that there is great potential for solar cells and energy storage systems on the Swedish market, which also means that we can make new to our society.
