When people think about future energi-smart buildings think we often different smart solutions for energy storage systems. On May 8, we had a seminar at the NetPort Science Park “Future energy-smart buildings in Blekinge”, this was held by Energikontor Sydost, BTH, Region Blekinge and NetPort energy cluster. There were about 30 participants with a good mix of representatives from the municipality’s real estate company, the municipality, the region, companies and organizations.
During the day we listened to some good examples from Blekinge, Skåne and Gothenburg. One of the good examples was Cefur from Ronneby for presenting Hulta preschool where they had combined knowledge from “Cradle to Cradle” and circular economy. Skåne regional properties told about their work with Sweden’s largest passive and plus energy house – the forensic psychiatry center in Trelleborg. There they use renewable energy such as solar, wind and geothermal energy and the building has been classified as environmental building level Gold. Blekinge Institute of Technology informed that, in order to achieve sustainability stability, we need to design a new policy, new infrastructure and new lifestyle. Nilsson Energi from Gothenburg presented its off-grid solutions for storing energy in hydrogen and showed good examples of this which can be found in Mariestad and Vårgårda. Finally, we listened to Intelligent Energy Management project, which is a network for purchasers.
The day ended with a summary of the workshops that took place where all participants were given their thoughts and ideas about the future, the challenges we face when it comes to making buildings more smart and we could see that together can we build a strong network for future energy-efficient buildings in Blekinge!
